The company is targeting $50 billion in annual revenue within the decade through accretive acquisitions and organic growth.The Night Shift Assembly Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating daily assembly operations to ensure production schedules, quality standards, safety requirements, and customer commitments are achieved. This role directs production employees, assigns work based on production priorities and team capabilities, coordinates material and equipment needs, and monitors completed products for quality and accuracy.Working closely with Production, Saw Operations, Yard, Dispatch, Maintenance, and other operational teams, the Assembly Supervisor ensures materials and resources are available to maintain efficient workflow while providing hands-on leadership, training, and support to employees. The ideal candidate is a safety-focused, results-oriented leader with strong problem-solving skills and experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Hours: 6:30 pm – 1:00/02:00/03:00 am - depending on production scheduleAssembly & Production OperationsLead and coordinate daily assembly and production activities to meet established schedules and customer requirementsAssign employees to workstations and production tasks based on workload, production priorities, and individual capabilitiesReview work orders and production instructions to ensure jobs are completed accurately and efficientlyVerify required components have been cut and are available before work is released to assembly tablesMonitor production workflow and proactively address missing materials, components, or other issues that could delay productionCoordinate with Saw Operations regarding missing or additional wood components required for assemblyRequest production supplies and materials as needed to maintain workflowMonitor production performance and adjust labor or priorities as operational needs changeEnsure completed work is properly prepared for staging, stacking, and dispatchTruss Assembly & Material CoordinationOversee the assembly of trusses and related structural building components according to production drawings and work ordersCoordinate forklift operators supporting assembly operationsCoordinate employees responsible for plate picking and other material preparation activitiesVerify required lumber, plates, and components are available before assembly beginsRespond to production employee requests related to missing materials, work orders, equipment, or production requirementsCoordinate with Stackers to ensure finished products are complete, properly organized, and meet quality expectationsCommunicate with Dispatch regarding missing or incomplete trusses and finished work ordersQuality ControlInspect completed assemblies to verify compliance with production drawings, specifications, and company quality standardsEnsure production employees follow established assembly and quality-control proceduresIdentify defects, incomplete work, or production discrepancies and coordinate corrective actionMonitor finished products for quality and completeness before they are released for staging or shipmentPromote accuracy throughout the production process to minimize scrap, rework, and customer issuesTeam Leadership & Employee DevelopmentProvide day-to-day leadership, direction, coaching, and support to assembly employeesMotivate employees to achieve established production, quality, safety, and delivery goalsTrain new employees on job responsibilities, production procedures, machinery, equipment, and safe work practicesMonitor employee performance production areas remain clean, organized, and free of unnecessary hazardsCoordinate workstation cleanup throughout the shift and at the completion of production activitiesSupport efficient utilization of production equipment and resourcesSafety & CompliancePromote and maintain a safety-first culture throughout assembly operationsEnsure employees follow company safety policies, procedures, and established safe work practicesVerify employees consistently wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and other applicable protective equipmentIdentify and report unsafe preferredKnowledge of truss assembly processes, production workflow, and material handling is a plusExperience coordinating forklifts, material preparation, saw operations, or finished-product staging preferredExperience training and developing production employeesBasic computer and production reporting skills preferredWork is performed primarily in a manufacturing and production environmentFrequent exposure to production machinery, forklifts, lumber, saw operations, noise, dust, and varying temperaturesAbility to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shiftAbility to bend, reach, stoop, climb, and perform physical production activities as requiredAbility to lift and move heavy materials using appropriate lifting techniques, team assistance, or mechanical
