Crouse Health Hospital in Syracuse, NY, is seeking a Night Float Anesthesiologist to join their collegial anesthesia environment. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive setting with excellent Anesthesia Tech support and a Pre-Op Testing Center. Practice Info

  • Located at Crouse Health Hospital, which includes the main hospital and 3 ASC’s
  • Collegial anesthesia environment

  • Staff members work in a care-team model

Responsibilities

  • Case assignments: General, GYN, Bariatrics, Robotics, Ortho, Spine, Crani’s, Thoracic, Vascular, Urology/Renal, ENT, Eyes, Plastics, Podiatry, Endo, EP/Cath Lab, Healthy Peds (no open heart surgeries)
  • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
  • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Compensation

  • Salary: $625,000
  • Sign-on Incentives (Bonus with/without retention, Training Assistance, or Loan Repayment): $100,000

Requirements

  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • ECFMG and FLEX
  • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
  • Currently licensed as a physician
