Night AuditorThe Night Auditor is responsible for reconciling all hotel cashier transactions; reviewing, organizing and compiling management reports on a timely basis and ensuring the accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions. He/she is also responsible for effectively communicating concerns and/or related issues to all levels of management and performing guest service agent duties as required, including check-in, check-out, switchboard operation and reservations.Highgate is a leading real estate investment and hospitality management company with over $15 billion of assets under management and a global portfolio of more than 400 hotels spanning North America, Europe, the Caribbean, and Latin America.Location: Residence Inn Ontario, 2025 Convention Ctr Way, Ontario, CA 91764Responsibilities include: working with and understanding financial information and data, basic arithmetic functions; cross training in other accounting or hotel-related areas; prioritizing job functions to meet deadlines; performing guest services functions as required; auditing and reconciling financial and statistical reports; preparing and distributing necessary daily and month-end reports; auditing and reconciling all Front Desk and Food & Beverage Cashier's work; auditing, reconciling, consolidating, and transmitting all credit cards on a timely basis; ensuring accuracy of all numbers reported including statistics; inputting and updating financial information into corporate communications network; performing daily, weekly, monthly and annual data processing system functions as required; keeping management abreast of any unusual operational or financial events and/or deviations of policies or procedures; ensuring overall guest satisfaction; responding to governmental inquiries upon receipt; handling guest requests.Qualifications include: High School diploma or equivalent and/or one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field required; guest service experience preferred; computer knowledge/skills required; flexible and long hours sometimes required; sedentary work – exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects; late/overnight shift; maintaining a warm and friendly demeanor at all times; effective communication both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner; effective listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests; multitasking and prioritizing departmental functions to meet deadlines; attending all hotel required meetings and trainings; maintaining regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel; maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag; complying with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations; maximizing efforts towards productivity, identifying problem areas and assisting in implementing solutions; handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary; understanding and applying complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives; cross-training in other hotel related areas; maintaining confidentiality of information; showing initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs; performing other duties as requested by management.Benefits include: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance; 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching contributions; paid holidays; paid vacation; paid sick leave (provided in accordance with applicable law); employee assistance program (EAP); educational opportunities / Tuition reimbursement; paid jury duty leave, personal leave, medical leave, and military leave in accordance with applicable law.
