NICU Nurse PRN

Parkridge East Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

• Utilize therapeutic communication in daily practice, maintain a safe therapeutic environment, and identify nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient.
• Demonstrate age‑specific knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment and care of patients.
• Ensure the privacy of patients and confidentiality of their Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Apply the nursing process for individual care to meet patient needs and document all patient care.
• Perform technical skills, follow procedures, and demonstrate critical thinking.
• Provide care and coordinate participation that supports the hospital's mission and vision statement.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (B.S. or A.S.).
• 1 year of NICU RN experience required for PRN.
• BLS certification.
• CPI training and certification required within 6 months.
• Current licensure by the Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Compact state.
