The extern works under direct supervision of a registered nurse, performing direct and indirect patient care and assisting with routine treatments, patient activities of daily living, and examinations as needed.
Externs must be in good standing in a nationally accredited nursing program and be able to work weekends, holidays, and shift rotations.
