The ideal candidate will have advanced pediatric or critical care pharmacy training, strong NICU experience, and the ability to provide direct clinical pharmacy services to critically ill neonates in a high-acuity environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct clinical pharmacy services to critically ill neonatal patients.
- Participate in multidisciplinary NICU rounds and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Review medication therapy for appropriateness, dosing, safety, interactions, and therapeutic effectiveness.
- Provide pharmacokinetic monitoring and medication recommendations for neonatal patients.
- Support antimicrobial stewardship and medication-safety initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a PGY2 Residency in Pediatrics -required/preferred pathway
- Candidates with a PGY2 Residency in Critical Care may be considered if they have current NICU experience
- NICU clinical pharmacy experience - required
- Experience providing direct clinical pharmacy services to critically ill neonates - required
- Strong knowledge of neonatal pharmacotherapy, dosing, medication safety, and critical-care pharmacy practice.
