Under the guidance of senior development staff, this position participates in the design, coding, testing, and documentation of EHR forms, workflow logic, and entry-level web-based tools using.NET and MVC C#. The Developer I builds forms that support compliance, data integrity, and ease of use, and plays an important role in integrating data across systems to streamline care delivery and reporting.This role is ideal for individuals with foundational programming experience—particularly in SQL and C#—who are looking to expand their skills in a healthcare IT environment. The Developer I must be able to work both independently and collaboratively, adapting technical solutions to meet the needs of clinical and operational users.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain EHR forms and templates within the NextGen development environment based on guidance from the EHR and Forms CommitteesParticipate in software and system testing, including bug tracking, release testing, and beta supportWrite logic and validation to ensure clinical documentation meets compliance and reporting standardsIntegrate data from multiple sources (e.g., lab results, medications, HIEs) into unified workflowsParticipate in design meetings to understand system needs and support operational improvementsAssist with.NET (C# / MVC) web development for lightweight internal tools or workflow supportProvide support to the Helpdesk and train staff on new EHR functionality or logic changesPerforms miscellaneous job-related duties as assignedSpecial AttributesAbility to write and troubleshoot basic code (SQL, C#, or equivalent)Understanding of healthcare data relationships and workflowsAbility to design clinical tools that support accuracy, usability, and complianceWillingness to learn and grow in a team development environmentQualification RequirementsFamiliarity with structured query language (SQL) and relational database designExperience with or exposure to.NET development (C# / MVC)Ability to translate clinical and administrative needs into software design logicBasic understanding of healthcare workflows, documentation, and complianceEducation and/or ExperienceAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field preferred1 year of experience working with database-driven systems, preferably in healthcareExperience with EHR form design or clinical application development preferredExposure to NextGen, or willingness to train in the platform, is highly desirable
