To support a flexible tele-optometry practice, New York Licensed Optometrists will provide remote eye examinations and generate prescriptions for eyewear, working either part-time or full-time as independent contractors. Key responsibilities Examine patients using patented remote technology while adhering to state licensing regulations Communicate effectively with patients through specialized video conferencing tools Analyze eye health and generate prescriptions for eyeglasses or contact lenses with the support of Ophthalmic Technicians Required qualifications Current New York state license to practice optometry Experience with telehealth or remote patient care is preferred Ability to work independently as a contractor Multiple state licenses are a plus Willingness to undergo credentialing and training as needed
