Working remotely on a full-time basis, the New York Licensed Medical Coder will function as an advanced coder, performing in-depth analysis of medical documentation and assigning appropriate codes in accordance with coding guidelines. Key responsibilities: Translate medical documentation using advanced coding knowledge and systems logic Review and resolve coding denials, providing feedback for corrections and follow-up Respond to coding information requests and consult with internal and external stakeholders for clarification Required qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent with 3 years of experience as a Medical Coder Associate's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge of ICD-10CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems required Working knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy required Preferred certifications include CPC from AAPC or CCS from AHIMA
