Our client is a well-established manufacturer of industrial and commercial equipment, and is looking to grow their product development team! The New Product Engineer will take a leading role in developing and managing the development of new products. -Responsibilities * Take a leading role in managing projects with support from the New Product Development Team. * Conduct research in latest technology to ensure the best quality of new products.
* Organize, manage, and automate testing of products under development. * Assess the required industry standards for new products. * Coordinate with the rest of the New Product Development Team in brainstorming new design ideas. * Take a leading role or assist in the mechanical and electrical design of new products. * Take a leading role or assist in the design of electronic printed circuit boards to be used as an embedded controller on new products.
* Assist in the assembly of new product prototypes. * Develop machine software in C programming language or equivalent. * Write HMI/PLC programs. * Manage the development of new products from their infant stage all the way into production. * Coordinate with vendors and/or other engineering design teams in an effort to gain the best support possible for the development of new products.
