The New Grad RN Resident in the Telemetry Unit at Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital provides exceptional patient-centered care to adult and geriatric patients with various medical-surgical diagnoses. What You’ll Do
- Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
- Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
- Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care.
- Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective actions.
- Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
- Document in patients’ medical records.
- Interact directly with patients, families, and visitors to enhance their experience.
Requirements
Education
- Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Experience
- New grad or less than one year of RN work experience
- Less than one year of current acute direct patient care RN experience if moving from non-inpatient to acute care
Licenses & Certifications
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
