About This Role

The New Grad RN Resident in the Neurosciences unit provides direct nursing care to complex neurological patients while participating in a residency core curriculum tailored to individual learning needs.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
  • Provide direct nursing care alongside a coach.
  • Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care activities.
  • Initiate and/or maintain interventions for safe and effective patient care.
  • Respond to data indicating risk to individual health and take corrective action.
  • Seek supervision and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
  • Comply with established hospital and department personnel policies.
  • Document in patient's medical record according to established guidelines.

Requirements

  • Education:
    • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
    • BSN preferred.
  • Experience:
    • New grad or less than one year of RN work experience.
  • Licenses & Certifications:
    • Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).
    • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required based on work area.
