n Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Neurosurgery is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join a nationally recognized Neurosciences team in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This role supports multiple neurosurgeons by providing comprehensive outpatient care, improving patient access, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional neurological and neurosurgical care.n
n The APP will primarily practice in an outpatient setting, managing patient evaluations, follow-up care, treatment planning, and care coordination while working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals.n
n Primary Responsibilitiesn

n Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations in the outpatient neurosurgery clinic.n

n Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.n

n Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and follow-up care.n

n Facilitate patient access and continuity of care across the Neurosciences service line.n

n Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, ancillary departments, and external providers.n

n Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.n

n Participate in shared outpatient call coverage (phone-only) with the APP team.n

n Support inpatient rounding and discharge activities on a rotating weekend schedule when needed.n

n Maintain hospital privileges and comply with organizational and regulatory requirements.n

n Standard clinic hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.n

n Primarily daytime schedule.n

n Shared outpatient call coverage (phone-only) among APP colleagues.n

n Potential inpatient rounding responsibilities approximately 1 in every 13 weekends at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.n

n Required:n

n Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.n

n Eligible for licensure in North Carolina.n
