Neurosurgery Faculty Opportunity

Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group. Position Highlights –

• We are seeking an established Neurosurgeon to join our growing neuroscience division at Baystate Health, located in Springfield, MA. This well-established division includes 5 neurosurgeons and 12 advanced practice providers and a strong multidisciplinary staff.
• As part of our Neuroscience program candidates will practice at Baystate Medical Center, the region’s only level 1 trauma center, and a top 100 Spinal Surgical program in the country as recognized by Becker’s Healthgrades.
• As the major referral care center for the area, candidates will see a wide variety of complex neurosurgical cases including spine degeneration, brain tumors, deep brain stimulation and trigeminal neuralgia along with neuroendovascular support.
• Call schedule: six days of call per month, including one weekend.
• The Baystate Neuroscience service line consists of 80+ providers includes general subspeciality neurology, stroke neurology, neurosurgery, sleep medicine and physiatry.
• Receive faculty appointment at UMass Chan Medical School–Baystate at a rank commensurate with your academic accomplishments and experience. Opportunities to participate in clinical research and teaching are available.
• Candidates interested in a Neurosurgery hospitalist position with inpatient only duties and a set schedule are also encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

ABMS BE/BC trained in Neurosurgery. A strong commitment to collaboration, courage, quality and lifelong learning is essential for success.

The compensation ranges in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full-time commitment for exempt employees.

Neurosurgery: $743,450 - $825,000
