Neurosurgeon

Desert Regional Medical Center, a premier Level I Trauma Center and part of Tenet Health, is seeking a fellowship-trained Neurosurgeon to join their established team in Palm Springs, California. This employed position offers the opportunity to build a thriving neurosurgical practice in a growing market, focusing on a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. The role provides seamless access to surgical facilities and support resources on the hospital campus, with robust patient demand and a broad range of cranial and spine procedures.

• Employed position with Desert Care Network (DCN) at Desert Regional Medical Center.
• Practice conveniently located on the hospital campus.
• Traditional mix of 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient responsibilities.
• Established neurosurgery team and dedicated mid-level provider support.
• Additional support from two PRN providers to assist with call coverage and patient management.
• Robust patient demand with clinic volumes of approximately 15-25 patients per day.

Responsibilities

• Establish a thriving neurosurgical practice.
• Provide a balanced clinical practice with 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient responsibilities.
• Perform a broad range of cranial and spine procedures.

Compensation

• Competitive base salary ranging from $500,000-$600,000, with productivity incentives.
• Salary Range: $550,000 to $900,000 / Year.
• Bonus Offered: Negotiable.

Shift & Schedule

• Typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Shared 1:3 call schedule, supported by additional PRN coverage.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery.
• Fellowship-trained neurosurgeon required.
• Eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted California medical license.
• Excellent clinical and surgical skills with a commitment to high-quality patient care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
