Neuromuscular Neurologist

Hartford HealthCare’s Ayer Neuroscience Institute is seeking a BE/BC Neuromuscular Neurologist to join a cohesive multidisciplinary team at a brand-new, state-of-the-art ambulatory Neuroscience Center in Norwich, Connecticut. In this role, the provider will focus on treating patients with neuromuscular disorders, performing electromyography (EMG) studies, and collaborating on clinical research and care initiatives. The comprehensive center brings together multiple specialties under one roof to enhance collaboration and deliver seamless, coordinated patient care.

• Located at a brand-new, state-of-the-art ambulatory Neuroscience Center in Norwich, Connecticut
• Comprehensive Neuroscience Center brings neuromuscular care together with general neurology, neurosurgery, pain management, PM&R, headache, epilepsy, movement disorders, stroke, cognitive neurology, neuroimmunology, primary care, rheumatology, infusion services, EEG, and advanced diagnostic imaging under one roof
• Academic institution affiliated with University of Connecticut School of Medicine and Quinnipiac University Medical School

Responsibilities

• Focus on treating patients with neuromuscular disorders such as neuropathy, myasthenia gravis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), etc.
• Work in a collaborative environment with opportunity to develop clinical research
• Perform electromyography (EMG) studies
• Participate in the NCS technician training program
• Collaborate on the neuromuscular clinical council to develop neuromuscular care paradigms, advance quality of care initiatives, promote patient experience, and find opportunities for research and innovation
• Help develop neuromuscular ultrasound service line
