Neuromuscular Neurologist – Leadership Opportunity

Location: BMH Bronson Methodist Hospital, Southwest Michigan.

Full‑time, fellowship‑trained, BC/BE Neuromuscular Neurologist needed to join a well‑established practice supporting 12 neurologists and 8 APPs. The role includes patient care, EMG lab leadership, teaching affiliation, and participation in clinical trials.

Position Overview

• Focus on treating patients with neuromuscular disorders, including neuropathy and ALS, with a possible small component of general neurology.
• Dedicated EMG days supported by experienced Neurodiagnostic Technicians in an AANEM accredited lab.
• Leadership over Neurodiagnostics/EMG lab.
• Opportunity for teaching and academic affiliation through Western Michigan University’s Homer Stryker School of Medicine.
• EMR: Epic.
• Weekday call averages 4 nights per month (no weekend call).

Requirements

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible neurologist.
• Fellowship in Neuromuscular or Clinical Neurophysiology with EMG/neuromuscular emphasis.
• Michigan Medical, DEA, and CDS licenses.
• Willing to support and lead the ALS Program.
• Medical degree and 2 years of direct or internal experience.
• Current DEA and DPS Certificate of Registration.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and proper telephone etiquette.
• Demonstrated proficiency in medical knowledge, pharmacology, and patient care.
• Commitment to excellent customer service and confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
• Effective communication with patients and teams.
• Experience with prescribing treatments, ordering studies, documenting care, and managing referrals.
• Participation in process improvement, educational, and clinical quality initiatives.
• Ability to oversee mid‑level medical staff and nursing clinical staff.
