Shift & Schedule

• Daily schedule: Monday-Friday 8am - 4:30 pm
• Off tour call

Responsibilities

• Direct all clinical operations and staff within the Neurology Section, providing both inpatient and outpatient neurologic care—including general neurology, stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular conditions, and tele-neurology services.
• Supervise neurologists, advanced practice providers, and technical staff, overseeing scheduling, workload, clinical productivity, and ensuring an engaged, high-performing team.
• Manage Neurology clinic logistics—including staffing models, consult management, patient access targets, and continuous growth of tele-neurology services.
• Deliver expert neurologic evaluations, procedures (including EEG, EMG/NCS, lumbar puncture), and subspecialty care within privilege scope.
• Oversee quality metrics, address peer review processes, guide staff through OPPE/FPPE, and ensure full compliance with credentialing and privileging standards.
• Foster partnerships across Primary Care, Emergency Medicine, Radiology, Rehabilitation, Pharmacy, Mental Health, and Social Work to deliver integrated, patient-centered neurological care.
• Support ongoing training, teaching, staff development, and cultivate productive academic partnerships.
• Maintain adherence to all VHA/facility policies and exercise independent judgment in both clinical and administrative decision-making.

Compensation

• Potential starting base salary range: $320,000-$370,000
• Recruitment/Relocation Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): May Be Offered to Highly Qualified Candidate
