- Preferred Schedule: Five consecutive days
- Setting: Outpatient clinic, inpatient service, and operating room
- Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours plus beeper call
- Call Scope: Transfer center, emergency department, and after-hours patient calls
- Call Response Time: 30 minutes
- Rounding: Assigned and unassigned patients
- Admissions: Not required
- Trauma Designation: Level II
- EMR: Cerner
- Credentialing: Approximately 60 days
- Temporary Privileges: Available
- Hospital Privileges: Required
- Nearest Airport: Tampa International Airport Requirements
- Board-Certified Neurosurgeon
- Active Florida license or IMLC eligibility
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- Current clinic, operative, trauma, and call experience
- Ability to cover 5 Äì7 days per month
- Ability to respond and document a care plan within 30 minutes
- Availability for five consecutive days preferred Clinical Details
- Provide outpatient Neurosurgery clinic coverage
- Perform emergency and urgent neurosurgical procedures
- Round on assigned and unassigned patients
- Respond promptly to transfer-center and emergency-department calls
- Handle after-hours calls from outpatient surgical patients
- Complete structured handoffs to incoming physicians
- Refer non-emergent cases to the employed Neurosurgery team
- Broad general, cranial, spinal, trauma, and cerebrovascular experience preferred
- Collaborate with five APPs, two RNs, two MAs, and six office staff
- No APP supervision, resident supervision, or teaching responsibilities
