Neurology Physician

Locums - Petoskey, Michigan, Neurologist Opening

Start Date: 11/1/26 Expected Duration: Ongoing

Coverage & Schedule:

• Regular onsite hours: 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
• Outpatient clinic: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m., within the regular onsite day
• 24-hour weekend call: 8:00 a.m.-8:00 a.m.
• After-hours call coverage required
• When outpatient appointments are not scheduled, provider is expected to remain onsite for hospital coverage

Patient Volume & Clinical Scope:

• Approximately 6-8 patients per day
• EEG reads for inpatient and outpatient patients as needed
• Radiologic exam interpretation
• Lumbar puncture/spinal tap
• EEG
• Brain death examinations
• Evoked potentials

Support & Systems:

• EMR: Cerner

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Neurology - Required; Board Eligible not accepted
• Active Michigan license required at time of name clear
• Provider must be local - Required
• Active DEA - Required
• BLS and ACLS - Required
• NIH Stroke Scale/tPA competency - Preferred
