Opportunity:

Physician - Neurology


Job Details:

  • Provide neurology coverage in an outpatient clinic setting with regular hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

  • Outpatient clinic appointment hours during shift: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM

  • 24-hour weekend call coverage from 8:00 AM to 8:00 AM

  • After-hours call coverage required

  • EEG reads for both inpatient and outpatient as needed

  • When no outpatients are scheduled, provider is expected to provide onsite hospital coverage

  • See approximately 6 to 8 patients per day

  • EMR system: Cerner

  • Required procedures include Radiologic Exam Interpretation, Lumbar Puncture (Spinal Tap), EEG, Brain Death Examination, and Evoked Potentials

  • Board Certification in Neurology required (Board Eligible not accepted)

  • Active Michigan license required at time of name clearance

  • Provider must be local; no flights

  • Active DEA confirmation required

  • BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH Stroke Scale/tPA competency preferred
