Neurology Physician

• Start Date: January 1, 2027
• Coverage Needed: 1 Locum Tenens Neurologist
• Estimated Shifts: Approximately 20 shifts per month
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
• Call: None
• Practice Setting: Outpatient Neurology Clinic
• Minimum Experience: 3 years
• Practice Type: Solo physician practice
• APP/Mid-Level Coverage: None available; physician must work independently

• Maryland Medical License: Required to practice; not required at the time of application
• Candidates who need to obtain a Maryland medical license will be considered
• DEA Registration: Required
• CSR: Required
• Board Certification: Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Neurology
• BLS: Required

Candidates must be comfortable with:

• General, bread-and-butter Neurology
• Outpatient Neurology
• Performing EMGs - required
• Reading and interpreting outpatient EEGs - required
• Managing new and established patients
• Working independently without APP or mid-level provider support

• Average Patient Volume: 14-16 patients per provider per day
• EEG Interpretation: Approximately 2-3 EEGs per day
• Patient volume may vary depending on the mix of new and established patients
• Physician will assume responsibility for a portion of the existing patient panel
• New patient referrals are generated through an established referral network

Experience with the following is a plus:

• Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS)
• EEG
• Botox
• Baclofen pumps

• Movement disorders
• Multiple sclerosis (MS)
• Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
• Migraine
• Stroke

• Outpatient-focused General Neurology practice
• Level III Trauma Center
• Medical subspecialties available onsite, except Rheumatology and Genetics
• EMR: Epic
• Dictation Tools: Dragon dictation and AI dictation technology
• No APP or mid-level provider coverage; physician manages clinical responsibilities independently
