Board-Certified Physician Traumatic Brain Injury Evaluations
Location: Alexandria, LA
Pay: $1,550 $1,600 per day
Schedule: Five days per week

Frontera Search is seeking a board-certified physician to conduct Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) evaluations for Veterans in Alexandria, Louisiana.
This is an evaluation-only position with no treatment, prescribing, medication management, or ongoing patient care. The physician will review medical records, conduct focused TBI examinations, and document objective clinical findings to support the VA disability-benefits determination process. Examiners do not determine Veterans disability ratings or compensation.
Responsibilities
Review Veterans service treatment records, medical histories, and previous examination reports
Conduct comprehensive in-person TBI evaluations
Obtain detailed histories regarding claimed injuries and current symptoms
Assess relevant neurological, cognitive, physical, and functional concerns
Complete applicable Disability Benefits Questionnaires accurately and thoroughly
Provide medical opinions when requested
Document examination findings electronically
Submit completed examination reports within established turnaround times
Follow all applicable examination, documentation, and privacy protocols
Provide professional, compassionate, and respectful service to every Veteran
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree
Active, unrestricted physician license
Board certification in at least one of the following qualifying specialties:
Neurology
Neurosurgery
Physiatry/Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Pain Medicine/Rehabilitation
Ability to conduct independent, focused medical evaluations
Strong clinical documentation and computer skills
Excellent communication, organization, and time-management abilities
Availability to conduct in-person examinations five days per week in Alexandria, LA
Preferred Qualifications
Previous TBI evaluation experience
Prior C&P or disability-examination experience
Experience working with Veterans or the Department of Veterans Affairs
Familiarity with Disability Benefits Questionnaires and medical-opinion documentation
