The ideal candidate will have two plus years of experiencein generalNeurology or related experience. This position will work collaborativelyunder the supervision ofthe physicianand other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
The Phil Smith Neuroscience Institute at Holy CrossHealth is home to 8 Neurologists, 2 Neurosurgeons, 2 Interventional Neuroradiologists and 8 Advanced Practice Providers,providinga vast array of neurological servicesincluding multi-disciplinary clinics for ALS and Parkinsons Disease.Our service line also includes NeuroCriticalCare,InterventionalSpine andPain, and an InpatientRehabilitationUnit.We are aJoint Commission certified Thrombectomy-capable stroke center.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensiveNeurologicalassessments including history, physical examinations, and interpretationof diagnostic studies.
- Manage chronic conditionssuch asdementia,headachesdisorders, movement disorders,radiculopathy,and peripheral nerve disease.
- Evaluate and triage new patient referrals and follow-up visits.
- Order and interpret laboratory studies, diagnostic testing
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans with collaborating physicians
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and medication management
- Participate in care coordination with other providers and specialties.
- Document all patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in the Electronic Medical Record
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory guidelines, and best practice standards.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program
- National Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Certification (APRN) OR national board certification as a Physician Assistant
- Current Physician Assistant or APRN license in the State of Florida
- 2+ years of general Neurology or related experiencerequired
- BLS/ACLS
