Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE Neurologist to join their well-established Department of Neurology at Marshfield Medical Center - Eau Claire in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. This role offers the opportunity to develop a general neurology practice or focus on a neuro subspecialty, collaborating with a system-wide Neurosciences team and primary care. The position emphasizes work-life balance with no after-hours or weekend call duties, supported by nurse practitioners and a Neurohospitalist team for acute strokes.

- Opportunity for a General Neurology practice or a practice with a Neuro Subspecialty focus (e.g., MS, Headache, Dementia, Movement Disorders)
- Acute strokes are covered by a Neurohospitalist team located in Marshfield, WI via telestroke
- MA & RN support; collaborating with 3 NPs in the department
- Strongly encourages physicians to be involved in medical education and research
Responsibilities
- Covering outpatient and inpatient services with nurse practitioner support
- Opportunity to perform/read procedures including EMGs and EEGs
- Perform history and physical examination
- Admit (if applicable to the setting)
- Provide consultative services
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide nonsurgical care to patients of all ages presenting with illnesses, injuries, and disorders of the neurologic system

Requirements
- BC/BE Neurologist
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of a Neurology residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
- If not board certified at time of application but completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from residency completion date
- Experience can be demonstrated by residency logs and completed rotations (for recent graduates) or a quality profile from current hospitals showing clinical activity for the last 12 months (for experienced applicants)
- Experienced applicants must demonstrate active involvement of inpatient services for at least 50 patients in the last 12 months, or active involvement in the care of 50 patients in clinical practice in the last 12 months if a quality profile is unavailable
