Overview
Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a full‑time Neurologist to build a sub‑specialized practice in one of the following areas: Neuromuscular, Seizure, Epilepsy, Movement Disorders or Headache. Visa sponsorship is available.
- Join an established group of neurologists in an academic setting
- Opportunity to develop a neurology subspecialty program
- Anticipated mix of specialty and general neurology, with at least 50% of the time in specialty
- Mostly in‑person outpatient clinic with opportunity for some remote tele‑neurology
- Opportunity for academic appointment at Columbia University and teaching Bassett IM residents & Columbia‑Bassett medical students
- Inpatient & outpatient tele‑neurology support from University of Rochester
- Very limited call; 2–4 days per month
- Full spectrum case mix and diverse patient population
- EMR – EPIC
- Salary range: $317,000 – $340,000. Compensation based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and market evaluation.
- Bassett offers physicians an incentive plan with no earning cap; performance can enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year.
- Sign‑on bonus up to $100,000

Job Requirements
- MD, DO or MBBS
- Board‑eligible or board‑certified
- NYS licensure
- BLS certification required
- Require stroke experience; reading EEG, and/or performing EMG desirable
- DEA required
