Job Overview
Brown University Health is seeking a Neurologist with a specialty in Movement Disorders. Fellowship training or experience in Movement Disorders is mandatory. This is an exciting opportunity to aid in the growth of the Neurology service line working with a committed group of health professionals and benefiting from an exceptionally low turnover team. The position is part of the long‑term academic mandate for Rhode Island Hospital and Warren Alpert Medical School.
Responsibilities
- Self‑direct and collaborate with a team of more than 40 neurologists (including 3 other movement‑disorder physicians), advanced practice providers, nursing and administrative support
- Report to the Neurologist in Chief at Rhode Island Hospital for clinical responsibilities
- Participate in the research program at Rhode Island Hospital, contributing to continuing research essential to academic progress and the pursuit of external funding
- Report to the Chairperson of the Department of Neurology, Warren Alpert Medical School, for reappointment, promotion and teaching evaluation
- Rotate on the Neurology General Ward and Neurology Consult services at Rhode Island Hospital and Women and Infants' Hospital
- Perform inpatient/call duties, approximately 4 weeks per year
- Engage in research and scholarly activities
- Eligible for H1B and J1 visas

Qualifications
- Board‑certified or eligible in Neurology with mandatory fellowship training or experience in movement disorders
- Completion of a U.S. neurology residency
- Proven record of accomplishment and potential as a teacher and clinician, with achievements related to the academic rank at initial appointment
- Interest in long‑term residency in Rhode Island and/or Southeast Massachusetts
