Neurologist

Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE neurologist for an exciting 1-year fellowship in multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology in Fargo, ND. Fellows will gain extensive clinical experience through outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, and specialized multidisciplinary care centers. The program also offers robust opportunities to participate in clinical trials, educational conferences, and rural outreach efforts.

• Outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, and specialized multidisciplinary clinics for multiple sclerosis and neurogenic bladder
• Department consists of 2 MS physicians, 11 additional neurologists, and 8 advanced practice providers with subspecialty representation
• Serves a large catchment area across multiple states, including many rural communities, caring for over 1,300 MS patients annually

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage multiple sclerosis, differentiating MS from common and rare mimics
• Work alongside MS physicians, physician assistants, and a dedicated registered nurse in outpatient clinics
• Perform inpatient consultations and collaborate with neuro-ophthalmology, neuroradiology, rehabilitation, urology, and Botox therapy specialists
• Actively participate in specialized multidisciplinary clinics for multiple sclerosis and neurogenic bladder
• Participate in clinical trials for emerging MS therapies and support independent clinical research projects
• Contribute to resident and medical student education through teaching and didactic sessions
• Engage in outreach efforts to improve access for rural patients
