Neurologist

SSM Health Dean Medical Group is seeking a BC/BE General Adult Neurologist to practice in Janesville, WI. This outpatient-focused role includes some inpatient responsibilities and the opportunity to co-develop a new outpatient clinical program alongside an established neurologist. Physicians will have the flexibility to pursue subspecialty interests in moderation, such as clinical neurophysiology, headache, epilepsy, movement disorders, or neuromuscular care.

• Subspecialty interests may be pursued in moderation in the areas of clinical neurophysiology, headache, epilepsy, movement disorders, or neuromuscular
• Working alongside another established Neurologist who will be a partner to this individual
• Local and regional neurology team with subspecialty expertise
• Collaborative relationship with referring providers including a strong primary care base located on the same floor as the neurology clinic, hospitalists, and emergency room physicians
• Experienced Advanced Practitioners to assist with established patient follow-up, inpatient rounding, and headache clinic
• Interventional radiology available 2 days/week including diagnostic angiograms and myelograms
• SSM Health St. Marys Janesville Hospital is a modern, state-of-the-art facility opened in January 2012 with an adjacent physicians office complex
• 24/7 Hospitalist program
• Hospital is linked to an e-ICU program based in St. Louis

Responsibilities

• Co-development of outpatient clinical program at Janesville
• Participate in call responsibilities shared with the Madison-based neurology team
• Manage call loads typically light and related to stroke, confusion, dizziness, radicular pain, back pain, and syncope
• Participate in stroke codes with future stroke program development, including TPA administration with transfer to ICU

Shift & Schedule

• Call responsibilities will be 1:4 weekends, 1 night per week, and local day call
• Schedule is very flexible

Requirements

• BC/BE General Adult Neurologist
• Education: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Residency: Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited neurology residency training program
