Neurologist

City of Hope National Medical Center is seeking a full-time neurologist at the Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor level to join the Department of Neurology in Duarte, CA. This primarily clinical faculty position offers the opportunity to practice in a nationally recognized academic medical center. Providers will work in state-of-the-art facilities while contributing to patient care, education, and clinical research.

Practice Info

• Practice at a single location, with inpatient and outpatient facilities located on the Duarte campus
• Work in state-of-the-art facilities that include a 215-bed hospital, 10 operating rooms, and four procedure rooms, with 24/7 on-site specialist, surgical, and critical care support
• Ability to participate in clinical research within an academic setting
• Primarily a general neurology position, with opportunities to develop a subspecialty focus as the division grows

Responsibilities

• Clinical responsibilities consist of 1 week rotation of inpatient care rotating with 3-4 weeks of outpatient care
• Outpatient responsibilities comprise approximately four to four and a half days per week and include consultations, follow-up visits, telehealth visits, and procedures such as Botox injections and EMG
• Provide inpatient neurology coverage on a rotating schedule with the other neurologists in the division
• Interpret neurodiagnostic studies, including EEG, rapid EEG, nerve conduction studies, EMG, and evoked potentials
• Participate in the education of medical students and other learners
• Manage patients' neurologic complications of cancer and cancer therapy

Compensation

• Base Salary Range: Assistant level: $215K-$230K
• Associate level: $230K-$246K

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. from an accredited educational institution
• Experience caring for patients with hematologic or oncologic conditions and/or experience with EEG, EMG, or nerve conduction studies is preferred but not required
• Active or eligible for California medical license
• Board Certified or Eligible
