Job Summary
The Physician provides direct clinical treatment services to patients, ensuring patients receive the treatment necessary to address their medical complaints. The Physician works constructively and collaboratively with other health professionals and focuses on attaining high standards of healthcare within their specialty. Duties may include patient care, instructing, monitoring, and advising other health care professionals, as appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional medical services in the field of neurology to patients and diligently work to establish, maintain, and expand a medical practice in neurology in the community.
- Fulfill professional practice time commitment and participate in and fulfill on‑call obligations.
- Work cooperatively with other providers to deliver and promote a ministry of healing, wellness, quality care, and exceptional service to patients.
- Participate as a provider of medical services with third‑party payers, including any HMO, PPO or governmental payer, with which St. Francis Medical Partners contracts.
- Provide accurate and timely coding and documentation of all patient care and administrative services rendered in accordance with policies and procedures of the Health System, St. Francis Medical Partners, or Medical Center, as applicable.
- Participate in training programs offered or required by St. Francis Medical Partners or its Affiliates to learn and remain proficient in the St. Francis Medical Partners electronic health record system and other information systems and clinical technology.
- As applicable, cooperate and actively participate in supervising/collaborative arrangements that the neurologist has entered into with other providers, and cooperate and coordinate with all clinical staff assisting in the care and treatment of patients.
- Attend professional conventions and post‑graduate seminars as approved by St. Francis Medical Partners to maintain and improve professional skills.
- Cooperate and participate, as requested, in the recruitment of other neurology providers.
- Cooperate and assist in the investigation, documentation, and resolution of any issues related to the neurologist’s qualifications to render services.
- Cooperate with St. Francis Medical Partners in the oversight of the day‑to‑day operations and management of the practice location and the provision of professional direction and medical management of the practice location.
- Work in good faith to achieve and maintain minimum recommended practice productivity standards and quality standards as may be established from time to time by St. Francis Medical Partners.
- Participate in and abide by the process utilized by St. Francis Medical Partners for quality improvement, utilization review, risk management, performance improvement, compliance programs and other initiatives to promote, develop and maintain the practice and achieve patient satisfaction and growth.
- Participate in clinical research and clinical trials applicable to neurology.
- Perform such other duties, or comply with such other obligations, as may be reasonably required by St. Francis Medical Partners.

Neurologist – Cape Girardeau, Missouri; Full‑time.
Qualifications
- License to practice medicine in Missouri.
- Completion of a residency in neurology.
