Neurologist – $300K–$400K+ Base, Movement Disorders Focus, No Call/No Weekends – Texas

An established outpatient neurology and clinical research program in the greater Austin area is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurologist to join a growing subspecialty movement disorders practice in Round Rock, Texas. We welcome applications from fellowship-trained movement disorders specialists ready to lead a sophisticated procedural and research-driven practice, as well as general neurologists with meaningful movement disorders experience or a strong interest in developing this focus within a structured, mentored environment.

This opportunity offers immediate access to a substantial referral base and established patient waitlist, along with DBS programming, in-office botulinum toxin procedures, and active industry-sponsored clinical trials supported by dedicated research infrastructure. Physicians joining without formal fellowship training will be paired with an established movement disorders researcher for structured ramp-up and hands-on mentorship in DBS programming and procedural care; fellowship-trained physicians will have the option to step into an active clinical and research role from day one.

Clinical Responsibilities

Evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and longitudinal management of patients with movement disorders, including Parkinson's disease, atypical parkinsonian syndromes, essential tremor, dystonia, and dyskinesias. Responsibilities also include DBS programming, botulinum toxin procedures, and movement disorders consultative care, with training and support available for physicians building these specific procedural skills. There is flexibility to incorporate selected general neurology interests based on physician background and preference, though the primary focus remains movement disorders medicine.

Procedures & Advanced Theraputic s

Established infrastructure and operational support for DBS programming (all major device manufacturers), in-office botulinum toxin procedures, advanced Parkinson's disease management, and procedural scheduling workflows already in place, with hands-on training available for physicians new to these procedures.

Clinical Research Opportunities

Active industry-sponsored movement disorders clinical trials, dedicated research coordinators, established sponsor relationships, and built-in research patient flow. Depending on experience and interest, opportunities include Principal Investigator responsibilities, Sub-Investigator participation, or collaboration on future protocol development, with a clear path for physicians to grow into research leadership over time.

Practice Environment

A collaborative outpatient neurology group supported by dedicated medical assistants, established referral pipelines, structured clinical ramp-up, NP support, an experienced research operations team, and administrative support for scheduling, referrals, and research coordination. The practice emphasizes high-quality subspecialty care, physician autonomy, and long-term sustainable growth for physicians at any stage of movement disorders subspecialization.

Required Qualifications

• - MD or DO degree
• - Completion of an accredited Neurology residency program
• - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
• - Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas

Preferred Qualifications

• - Fellowship training in Movement Disorders, OR demonstrated interest in movement disorders
• - Experience with DBS programming and/or botulinum toxin procedures (training available for qualified candidates without direct experience)
• - Interest in outpatient subspecialty neurology practice
• - Experience or strong interest in clinical research participation

Compensation & Benefits

• - Base salary range: $300,000–$400,000, commensurate with background and experience
• - Productivity/performance bonus potential of an additional $50,000–$100,000 (not included in base range above)
