Neurohospitalist

Mount Sinai Department of Neurology is seeking an enthusiastic physician for a full-time inpatient neurology opportunity at Mount Sinai Queens. This role involves providing high-quality consultative general neurology care for patients with a broad range of neurological diseases, excluding acute stroke and neurovascular diseases. Practice Info

• Inpatient consultative general neurology work at Mount Sinai Queens
• Care for patients with a broad range of basic and complex neurological diseases and neurological manifestations of systemic illness
• Acute stroke and neurovascular diseases are not included in this role
• Frequent collaboration with neurological subspecialists (particularly in epilepsy and stroke)
• Mount Sinai Queens is a teaching site for the medical student core Neurology Clerkship, overseen by the on-service Neurology attending
• Part of the system-wide Mount Sinai neurohospitalist team

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality care for patients with a broad range of basic and complex neurological diseases and neurological manifestations of systemic illness
• Collaborate with superb neurological subspecialists
• Oversee the medical student core Neurology Clerkship
• Collaborate with colleagues as an integral part of a health system
• Benefit from the education, research, and clinical program of Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai

Compensation

• Compensation range from $240,000 to $320,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
• The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits

Shift & Schedule

• Schedule opportunities include a combination of inpatient weeks, inpatient weekends, and outpatient time, depending on the applicant's preferences

Requirements

• Medical Degree from an Accredited University
• New York Medical License/Active NYS DEA
• BE or BC in Neurology
• Excellent clinical skills
• Interest in inpatient general neurology consultation
• Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills
• A strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented system
• Ability to respectfully collaborate and build relationships with teammates
