Neurohospitalist

The Mount Sinai Department of Neurology is seeking enthusiastic applicants for an exciting inpatient neurology opportunity primarily at Mount Sinai Queens. This part-time/per diem position involves providing high-quality care for patients with a broad range of complex neurological diseases and neurological manifestations of systemic illness. Clinicians will collaborate with neurosurgical and neurological subspecialists while contributing to a rapidly growing and dynamic neurohospitalist team. Candidates must possess excellent clinical skills and a strong interest in inpatient general neurology consultation.

Practice Info

• Inpatient general neurology work mainly at Mount Sinai Queens
• Acute stroke and neurovascular diseases are separately managed by the Stroke Team
• Frequent collaboration with neurosurgical and neurological subspecialists, particularly in epilepsy and stroke
• Part of a rapidly growing and dynamic system-wide Mount Sinai neurohospitalist team

Compensation

• Compensation range from $210K to $350K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Shift & Schedule

• Part-time/per diem position
• Opportunities include weekday and/or weekend coverage

Requirements

• Medical Degree from an Accredited University
• New York Medical License/Active NYS DEA
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology
• Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills
• A strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented system
• Ability to respectfully collaborate and build relationships with teammates
