AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a dynamic Neurohospitalist to join their growing inpatient team in the East Florida Division. This full-time position offers a flexible 7-on/7-off schedule based out of a highly-rated AdventHealth hospital in Daytona Beach, FL. Responsibilities
- Clinical management and comprehensive evaluation of inpatient neurological patients
- Clinical management and knowledge of the AHA Stroke Management Patient Care Guidelines
- Formulate and initiate individualized treatment plans based on therapeutic principles
- Interpret common laboratory, electrographic and radiologic findings and intervene appropriately
- Evaluate / provide /facilitate appropriate education for patients and families
- Evaluate and provide for patient discharge needs with specific recommendations for follow up in the outpatient setting
- Communicate effectively with physicians, management, staff, patients and families to ensure coordinated and cohesive execution of quality patient care in a timely manner
- Effectively/consistently collaborate with members of the health care team to coordinate treatment plans, specific patient concerns and discharge planning
