• Schedule Details : Float position within the Greater Charlotte Market. Sign on bonus eligible.
• Pay Range : $26.55 - $39.85

Essential Functions

• Performs routine and complex electroencephalogram (EEG), nerve conduction studies (NCV), evoked potential (EP) and other neurodiagnostic procedures.
• Demonstrates knowledge of equipment operator's manual and calibration procedures and identifies and corrects basic equipment issues.
• Performs neurodiagnostic procedures with appropriate test strategy, electrode montage parameters, and calibration.
• Obtains all relevant information from the patient’s medical record history and progress notes, and transfers this to the technologist’s report.
• Adopts methods and instrumentation to obtain optimal results based on medical history, clinical observations, and diagnostic test findings.
• Adheres to the standards of practice for test recordings as outlined by ABRET.
• Maintains complete and accurate record keeping, including history forms and archived records of clipped data.
• Assists with the technical operation of specialized neurodiagnostic procedures including long‑term monitoring, evoked potentials, intraoperative neuromonitoring, and others as appropriate.
• Verbalizes and implements appropriate actions during the onset of seizures and other patient medical emergencies.
• Demonstrates proper infection control practices throughout all aspects of care.
• Ensures hazardous materials are properly used and stored.
• Provides preceptor supervision to new technologists and student interns.
• Participates in ordering and maintaining supplies for the department.
