Neurocritical Care Physician

The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a dynamic clinician-researcher or clinician-educator to join their team of neurointensivists. This role involves providing care in two Neurosciences ICUs and managing neurologic emergency cases across the health system. Practice Info

• Oversees two Neurosciences ICUs
• Mount Sinai Hospital NSICU is a 16-bed unit focusing on complex neurovascular and skull base surgeries, expanding to 23 beds by 2028
• Mount Sinai West NSICU is a 14-bed unit focusing on ICH, epilepsy, and movement disorders
• Manages and transfers over 1000 neurologic emergency cases per year across the health system
• Boasts a dually accredited neurocritical care fellowship program
• Robust research program spanning NIH and industry sponsored multicenter clinical trials, and investigator-initiated studies

Responsibilities

• Participate in leadership opportunities for programs in intra-operative electrophysiological monitoring, transcranial doppler, clinical research, and education
• Actively involve in the Global Critical Care Program for those interested
• Participate in and contribute to clinical research efforts

Compensation

• Compensation range from $300,000 to $375,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Requirements

• Medical Degree from an Accredited University
• New York Medical License
• BE or BC in Neurology
• Fellowship training in Neurocritical Care
• Preference will be given to mid-career or senior individuals with more than 5 years of attending experience
• Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary setting
• A strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven Health System
