Junior Network / Telecom Specialist

Duration: Contract-to-Hire
We are looking for a motivated Junior Network/Telecom Specialist to support a mission-critical statewide Next Generation 911 (NG911) operations environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor network dashboards, alerts, alarms, and system availability.
- Identify and document network incidents and service disruptions.
- Provide Tier I technical support to communication centers.
- Create and maintain incident tickets using Salesforce or ticketing platforms.
- Coordinate troubleshooting and issue resolution with technical vendors.
- Escalate critical incidents to Tier II support teams.
- Track vendor tickets and maintain accurate incident documentation.
- Prepare shift handover reports and provide operational updates.
Required Skills:
- IT Help Desk / Service Desk / Technical Support experience.
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, connectivity, network equipment).
- Incident Management and Ticketing Systems.
- Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work overnight shifts in an onsite 24/7 operations environment.
Preferred: NOC experience, Salesforce, telecommunications, NG911, or emergency communications experience.
