NovalinkSolutions is seeking a Junior Network Security Analyst for an onsite role in West Columbia, South Carolina with locals only status. This is a 1-year engagement focused on hands‑on work across networking and security, supporting day‑to‑day monitoring, detection, and vulnerability workflows. The position is $60.00 per hour with an expected 40 hours per week .
Responsibilities
- Gain hands‑on experience working across networking and cybersecurity .
Requirements
- CCNA or PCNSE certification required.
- 5+ years of experience.
The preferred background includes a BS in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field .
Security and Networking Skills
- Network design , including routing and switching
- Network security and firewall concepts
- IDS/IPS and security monitoring fundamentals
- SIEM experience with Splunk and QRadar
- Vulnerability scanning using Nessus and Qualys
- Operating system familiarity across Windows, Linux , and macOS
- Network traffic and log analysis
Preferred Qualifications and Knowledge Areas
- Azure/AWS security knowledge (preferred)
- Awareness of NIST, HIPAA, and FISMA (preferred)
- Security+ or CISSP as a plus
