- 10+ years of experience in network/security engineering
- Hands-on experience with:
- Cisco networking (routing & switching)
- Strong understanding of:
- Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
- Firewall technologies, IDS/IPS, VPN (IPSec/SSL)
- Experience troubleshooting complex network and security issues
- Familiarity with security frameworks and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in enterprise or data center environments
- Exposure to network segmentation, Zero Trust, or cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with load balancers (F5), proxies, or SIEM tools
- Relevant certifications such as:
- CISSP or Security+
Position Overview
We are seeking a Network Security Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructure across enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Cisco networking (including Nexus), Palo Alto firewalls, and enterprise security best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain network security infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and VPN solutions
- Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls (policies, NAT, VPNs, GlobalProtect, security profiles)
- Administer and support Cisco networking equipment, including routers, switches, and Nexus platforms
- Monitor network performance and security posture; troubleshoot and resolve connectivity and security issues
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures across the network
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, audits, and remediation of security risks
- Manage and support VPN, remote access, and DMZ environments
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to support enterprise initiatives
- Maintain documentation of network architecture, configurations, and procedures
- Provide support during outages, incidents, and on-call rotations as needed
