Seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer, the full-time position offers a blend of remote and onsite work in Washington, DC, focusing on re-architecting VMware ESXi environments, administering firewall technologies, and maintaining Cisco-based network infrastructure with a security-first approach. Key responsibilities Lead the re-architecture of VMware ESXi environments to implement firewall and VLAN segmentation for enhanced security Administer enterprise-class firewall environments, including policy management and feature rollouts, for the Architecture and Engineering division Monitor and maintain Cisco network infrastructure and Aruba wireless environments, ensuring security compliance and operational integrity Required qualifications Minimum of 5+ years of experience in network security engineering or a related infrastructure discipline Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi re-architecture and VLAN segmentation design Proficiency in administering Check Point and Palo Alto firewall technologies Strong knowledge of Cisco network infrastructure, including routing, switching, and security configurations Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field preferred
