Network Security EngineerLocation: US/RemoteDuration: 6+ MonthsJob Description:This role will be responsible for operational support of Palo Alto firewalls and Global Protect VPN, as well as Cisco Umbrella Protective DNSBasic Qualifications:· 5+ years of experience in the Information Technology field working directly with physical and virtual infrastructure· 3+ years of hand-on experience with networking security hardware from major vendors including Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, and Checkpoint· 1+ years of experience deploying and supporting large-scale VPN configurationsRequired Skills:· Knowledge of fundamental networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, DNS, DHCP, routing/switching, and basic understanding of dynamic routing protocols (preferably OSPF)· Hands-on experience managing Palo Alto Network firewalls utilizing Panorama Management Server· Experience with designing, deploying, and troubleshooting both site-to-site and remote access VPN solutions· Extensive knowledge of ACLs, NAT/PAT, and QoS· Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages (bash, python, or powershell)· Ability to work independently under tight deadlines in a high-pressure environmentPreferred Certifications:· Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)· Cisco Certification Network Associate (CCNA)
