Network Security Engineer

TCI has an immediate need for a Network Security Engineer in Louisville, KY . This is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of hire.

NOTE: This position requires US Citizenship.

SUMMARY

The Network Security Engineer is responsible for safeguarding the company's digital infrastructure against unauthorized access, breaches, and cyberattacks. This role involves configuring and managing protective hardware and software—such as firewalls, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and intrusion detection systems. The engineer monitors network traffic for suspicious activity, conducts vulnerability assessments, and leads incident response efforts when security events occur. By establishing security policies and collaborating with IT teams, this position ensures the network remains secure, resilient, and compliant with industry regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience may be substituted.
• 3–5 years of network engineering or network administration experience.
• Fortinet Certified Associate (FCA) or Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) Desired.
• Experience with Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco or equivalent enterprise networking technologies.
• Experience supporting Azure and AWS cloud networking environments.
• Advanced TCP/IP fundamentals including routing, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, subnetting, network sniffing, WINS, DNS, and DHCP. Proficiency in MS applications (Word, Excel, Access, etc).
