We are currently seeking a Network Security Engineer – Hybrid position in Plano, Texas.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a 24/7 team on rotational shifts.
  • Collaborate with Platform and Content Engineering to handle tuning, stakeholder requests, escalations, reporting, and training.
  • Administer security tools to collect logs from the environment.
  • Perform lifecycle management of supported security tools and technologies, including break‑fix, patching, and live updates.
  • Adhere to SOPs and notify stakeholders of log flow or format issues.
  • Document best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes that benefit the incident response team.
  • Handle and respond to security incidents from multiple vectors, including endpoint protection, enterprise detection and response tools, malware analysis, network forensics, computer forensics, LAN technologies, Windows and Linux OSs, and general security infrastructure.
  • Carry out agreed maintenance tasks.
  • Use knowledge articles for incident diagnosis and resolution, and assist in updating them as needed.
  • Monitor service delivery against SLA targets and maintain relevant records.
  • Investigate incident causes and work toward resolution.
  • Escalate unresolved incidents and follow up until resolution.
  • Provide service recovery following incident resolution.
  • Document and close resolved incidents according to agreed procedures.
  • Investigate and identify root causes, and support implementation of remedies and preventative measures.
  • Maintain knowledge of specific specialisms and provide detailed application advice.
  • Ensure efficient and comprehensive incident resolution, coordinating product requests and collaborating with team members.
  • Log all incidents promptly with required detail.
  • Cooperate with all stakeholders, including client IT environments, vendors, and carriers, to expedite diagnosis and identify resolutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in security.
  • Experience with Firewalls, IPS, IDS, Proxy, and related technologies.
  • Seasoned experience providing technical support to clients.
  • Seasoned experience in diagnosis and troubleshooting.
  • Seasoned experience configuring and managing security controls such as Firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR, NDR, UTM, Proxy, SOAR, and HoneyPots.
  • Seasoned experience providing remote support for security technologies.
  • Seasoned experience in SOC/CSIRT operations.
  • Seasoned experience handling security incidents end to end.
  • Knowledge of networking, Linux, and security concepts.
  • Knowledge of log collection mechanisms such as Syslog, log files, and DB API.
  • Knowledge of security architecture.
  • Seasoned experience in security engineering.

Preferred Skills

  • Seasoned working knowledge of implementing and monitoring security tools and technologies.
  • Seasoned knowledge of security architecture across multiple security technologies.
  • Experience with Zscaler and Prisma SASE.
  • Experience with Checkpoint, Palo Alto NGFW, Fortinet, or Cisco FTD is good to have.
  • Customer‑service orientated and proactive thinking.
  • Problem‑solving skills and self‑organization.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Analytical and logical thinking.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Team player who works well with others and stakeholders.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Relevant networking certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, ACCA, PCNSA, or CCSA.
  • Relevant security certifications such as AZ‑500, SC‑200, Security+, CEH, CISSP, or CISM are advantageous.

Compensation

Where required by law, a reasonable compensation range is provided. The starting pay range for this role is $112,000 – $149,000, representing the minimum and maximum target compensation across all US locations. Actual compensation depends on factors such as work location, experience, technical skills, and qualifications.

This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
