Owning the design and implementation of scalable physical infrastructure, the full-time Network Production Engineer will focus on structured cabling and fiber-optic plant design for Backbone Points of Presence (POPs) and Inline Amplifier (ILA) huts, working remotely in the US. Key responsibilities Architect and implement physical infrastructure designs for backbone POPs and ILA sites, including structured cabling and fiber-optic components Collaborate with network engineering and sourcing teams to translate network topology into physical design requirements Produce engineering documentation and engage with vendors to ensure quality and scalability of network topologies Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience 6+ years of experience designing physical infrastructure or fiber-optic systems in telecom or hyperscale environments Strong knowledge of fiber fundamentals and the ability to translate network designs into physical builds Understanding of IP network hardware platforms and their specifications in POP and data center spaces Experience producing technical documentation and communicating effectively across teams and with vendors
