Network Operations LeadContract: 12-18 monthsLocation: Austin, TX (Hybrid Onsite and Telework)We are looking for a hands-on Network Operations Leader to support and guide day-to-day network operations across a large enterprise environment. This role is perfect for someone who leads by example, is strong technically, comfortable mentoring others, and able to step in on complex issues while helping keep operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate will act as a senior escalation point for complex issues and assist with key initiatives including SD-WAN optimization, observability improvements, and security integrations.Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field7+ years of experience in network engineering, administration, or support within enterprise environmentsExperience in a Team Lead, Lead Engineer, or supervisory capacity (informal leadership is acceptable)Experience supporting 24x7x365 network, voice, and video environmentsPreferred experience with Cisco VoIP administration, maintenance, and designStrong background in WAN, LAN, wireless, and SD-WAN technologiesExperience with network monitoring and observability tools (e.g., ThousandEyes, AppDynamics)Familiarity with network security integrations (e.g., NGFW, identity services, secure workload platforms)Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to support high-priority incidentsDuties/Responsibilities:Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering, Data Center, Telecom, and Security teams on cross-functional initiativesPerform hands-on support of network operations including troubleshooting, incident management, and issue resolutionServe as a senior escalation point for network-related issuesResponsible for assisting with coordination and prioritization of team workloadGather and provide status updates, risks, and mitigation plans to leadershipFacilitate vendor coordination and support for network-related servicesSupport SD-WAN implementation and optimization effortsMaintain network documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational proceduresEnsure adherence to security standards, policies, and compliance requirementsWork with cross-functional teams while assisting junior engineers and ensuring consistent service deliveryParticipate in change management processes and documentation effortsSupport knowledge sharing and mentoring of team membersGenius Road, LLC is proud to be a Certified Women's Business Enterprise, an Equal Opportunity Employer and values diversity.
