Position Overview
A confidential client is seeking a Network & Infrastructure Manager to plan, organize, and lead the day-to-day operations of a modern IT infrastructure environment. This role is responsible for overseeing internal staff, contractors, and managed service providers to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of network, server, storage, and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and can balance technical execution with people leadership and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Cloud Operations
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network and server infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and hybrid cloud environments
- Oversee cloud platforms and services across Azure, AWS, and on‑prem infrastructure
- Ensure system performance, availability, scalability, and reliability
- Manage server and storage platforms including Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI), VMware, Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, EMC SAN, Data Domain, and enterprise backup solutions (e.g., Rubrik)
- Establish and enforce IT support standards, policies, and procedures
Security, Compliance & Resiliency
- Implement and maintain network and infrastructure security controls and monitoring
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards (ISO, SOX, PCI, etc.)
- Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning, testing, and execution
Leadership & Project Delivery
- Lead, mentor, and develop infrastructure team members, including network and systems administrators
- Plan and execute infrastructure projects such as upgrades, migrations, and new system implementations
- Coordinate cross‑functional initiatives to support business and operational goals
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with technology partners
- Develop and manage infrastructure budgets, including capital planning and operational forecasting
Monitoring & Optimization
- Proactively monitor infrastructure performance and troubleshoot issues
- Identify and implement automation and optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and reliability
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and network management
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VoIP)
- Experience with virtualization, cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), and enterprise storage solutions
- Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices
- Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with budgeting and financial planning for IT initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, or PMP
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to lead in a dynamic environment
