This role requires deep technical expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to guide junior engineers while partnering with cross-functional teams.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect, design, and implement enterprise-scale LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and VPN solutionsLead network modernization, migration, and transformation initiativesConfigure, manage, and optimize routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancersProvide L3/L4 support for complex network and performance issuesEnsure high availability, scalability, and resilience of network infrastructureDrive network security design including firewalls, IDS/IPS, Zero Trust, and segmentationSupport and integrate cloud and hybrid networks (AWS, Azure, GCP)Perform capacity planning, traffic analysis, and performance tuningAutomate network operations using scripting and infrastructure-as-codeLead incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem managementCreate and maintain network architecture diagrams, standards, and documentationMentor junior engineers and provide technical leadershipCollaborate with security, cloud, application, and infrastructure teamsEngage with vendors and service providers for design and issue resolutionRequired Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience8+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering and operations5+ years of expert-level knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VLANs, STP, QoS5+ years of extensive experience with enterprise networking platforms (Cisco, Juniper, Arista)3 to 5 years of strong firewall and security experience (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco Firepower)3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with SD-WAN solutionsProven troubleshooting skills in complex, multi-vendor environmentsExperience with network monitoring and observability tools (SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, Wireshark)Strong understanding of network security and compliance best practicesPreferred QualificationsAdvanced certifications: CCNP / CCIE / JNCIP / JNCIE or equivalentCloud networking expertise (AWS VPC, Transit Gateway, Azure VNets, ExpressRoute)Network automation experience (Python, Ansible, Terraform)Experience in large enterprise or managed services environmentsITIL processes and incident/problem/change management experienceSoft SkillsStrong leadership and mentoring capabilitiesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to drive decisions and lead technical discussionsHigh ownership, accountability, and problem-solving mindsetAbout NTT DATANTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
