Network Engineer with Public Trust

To support government clients, the remote Network Engineer with Public Trust will conduct network assessments, design modernized network architectures, and develop compliance documentation while being located within 30 minutes of Mission, Texas. Key responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing networks, analyzing configurations, traffic patterns, and security measures Design and implement network architectures that incorporate centralized logging, intrusion detection systems, and meet regulatory standards Advise on procurement, installation, and configuration of network devices, ensuring proper integration and knowledge transfer for ongoing operations Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering Proven expertise in network security best practices and regulatory compliance standards (NERC-CIP, FISMA, NIST SP 800 series) Experience in conducting network assessments and capacity planning Familiarity with change management processes and network monitoring tools
