Network Engineer (Ultra Low/Low Latency Trading Infrastructure)Location: RemoteDuration: FulltimeSkills Desired:20+ years of progressive, hands on network engineering experienceProven track record delivering trading network infrastructure in global financial marketsStrong leadership, maturity, and discipline expected at senior engineering levelNetwork Engineering Expertise:Advanced routing & switching experienceUnicast Protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, NAT, IPSEC, GREMulticast Protocols: PIM, RP, MSDP, IGMP v2/v3Switching Technologies: STP, PortChannel/vPC/MLAG, CDP/LLDP, QoS, HSRP/VRRP, VLAN/VxLANSpine leaf architectures for low latency environmentsResponsibilities:Architect, engineer, and optimize ultra low/low latency network infrastructure across global datacenters and colocation sites.Lead deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support for all network and security hardware/software.Deliver deterministic, latency-optimized network paths supporting tick by tick data, FIX order flow, and DMA trading systems.Oversee capacity management: power, space, cabling, cross connects, hardware lifecycle, and market venue connectivity.Collaborate with market venues, brokers, and managed service providers for data feed and execution connectivity.Drive performance engineering through continuous tuning, packet analysis, QoS, timestamping, and micro burst detection.Lead and manage multiple infrastructure projects end-to-end with detailed documentation and best practices.Ensure high availability, redundancy, and stability across trading-critical networks.Leverage scripting and automation (Python preferred) for network efficiency and operational consistency.
